The PlaSec Enterprise Appliance is a robust, IT standards compliant, full featured Physical Access Control System (PACS), ideal for any large site. It efficiently scales from a local deployment to a regional/national/multi-national program. PlaSec Enterprise Appliances deliver unparallel value for convergence with IAM | SIEM IT Systems, improve business continuity via multi-site system replication capability and provide resiliency through its ability to support a grid computing design as well as a peer-to-peer hot standby, auto-fail over architecture.
PlaSec Enterprise Appliances makes use of a 100% browser-based interface, support open field hardware from Mercury Security and HID Global (EdgeReaders) , eliminate the need to interact with an operating system or relational database management system, provide a free SIEM data tool (Splunk), and has a powerful Collaboration Platform tool chest to push/pull data from a wide range of systems in all IT industry standard formats.
PlaSec Enterprise Appliances support up to 2,048 readers, 500,000,000 identities, 150,000,000 stored events, and 50 simultaneous operators. Up to 100 units can be configured in a single chain for installations that require replication between multiple PlaSec Enterprise Appliances. Supported access control reader technologies include barcode, biometric, magnetic stripe, proximity, and contact & contactless smart card.
PlaSec Appliances feature a crisp, carefully designed browser user interface. All software programs are organized in a logical grouping of primary and sub-tiered program icons. For example, the tfirs screen below is the primary program, Gateways. The next screen, the Replication screen, is accessed by clicking on the Replication icon in the Gateways screen.
